Secret Santa! :)

I mentioned previously that I took part in Sheila's Blogger Secret Santa gift exchange.

I received my gift a couple of days ago, just in time for today which is also a very good thing as I didn't have to wait long to open it ;P

All the way from Singapore, my Secret Santa was Cherie from Starryxuan!

I've been wanting the Majorca Majolica perfume for some time now as it looks so unique, it seems really nice!

Thank you so much Cherie, I love everything and am drinking the tea as I type now ^^

Festive Spirit

   

Yay two more days till Christmas!

Today was also my last day off work before a lovely six day break :) This meant I could finally paint my nails (work doesn't allow painted nails!).

I decided to go a little on the festive side and opted for a pretty emerald green shade, Barry M's Racing Green. At first I was thinking about doing red tips, but wanted to do something more 'adventurous' instead :P

I wanted to give Konad stamping another go! Before today, I had yet to master the knack to nail stamping...but I think after today, I am finally getting there :D

It's a little messing, but the shades work great together, I choose China Glaze's Admire (pic above) on the green it comes up almost gold. I used Konad stamp m41.

I'm not sure whether I will blog tomorrow, so let me wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! Have a great weekend, eat loads, keep warm and take care!

Chocolate Heaven?

Last week Helen and I took a trip to Bluewater for some late night shopping. 

We stopped off at Cadbury Cocoa House, this branch in Bluewater is the first ever restaurant in the UK. As well as the obvious of a chocolate filled menu, they also offer a small selection of British food. Check out their lovely menu.

The restaurant was so lovely, the ambience was great, service was really nice, the seats were so comfy and looked like chocolate :P

Hot Chocolate to warm up the evening. I had the Hot Chocolate Nog and Helen had the Hazelnut Hot Chocolate. The cinnamon on top was a delicious addition! Both recommended!

Scampi and chips in the mini fryer baskets, and tartare in a cute pot :D

Helen had a really nice Warm Roasted British Vegetable Salad.

And chips in a bucket :D with really cute pots of sauce. They also had the traditional salt and pepper mills, what restaurants do them anymore? :( Love the British touches to the presentation. ♥

 For dessert, we opted for something lighter and not chocolate filled. 

Autumn Fruit Sobert, elderflower, passion fruit and raspberry flavoured sorbet, blackberries and raspberries, chocolate chucks, whipped cream and a warm berry sauce. Nom nom nom! REALLY good!

Pretty New Things

A few items I recently received in the post :)

Swallow Print Pussybow Tunic: ASOS. Beautiful and floaty. LOVE!

Won this lippie from Rimmel's regular giveaways (do check their website, they are currently giving away 8,000 mascaras :D). Lasting Finish Lipstick in Amethyst Shimmer, it's lovely and sheer (buildable shade) and it smells like berries :)

My lovely Tabio order came! They are currently offering free shipping and gift wrapping. They wrap it with traditional Japanese furoshiki (read more about furoshiki), which is so pretty! I ordered the twist pattern tights in ivory and a pair of garter border tights. More pics will follow when I try them on :D

The more lovely handmade items I buy, the more I admire the time, dedication and effort put into these lovely creators creations. I feel really inspired too. I'm going to update my sidebar with some of my favourite handmade stores/blogs, so do check them out!

The beautiful and lovely Eki is one of my favourite blogger and she makes some amazing and gorgeous products. She even has her own webstore.
From packaging to product to customer service, everything has so much love put into it.

Eki provides such a lovely and warm service, I never hesitate to purchase from her. She makes a lovely selection of items.

 So so cute and princess-y. I really love the detail of these pouches, especially the charms (although the bow one broke as you can see :( )

Jewellery.
This is my collection of EkiLove jewellery. Look at the details, I adore the crown charm she's added near the clasp of the necklaces.

Every item is so unique are truly beautifully made. Eki was one of the first bloggers that I had bought handmade items from and from there on my love for these creations has grown immensely. My photos never do any of the items any justice, really beautiful in it's true form!

 I will definitely have more handmade posts to come in the near future.

The Day Is Coming...

...My Graduation is on Monday and upon reading what's happening on the day I'm really nervous! Walking up on stage in front of hundreds of people *deep breaths*

I've left it a bit late. but I've only started thinking about my outfit for the day. I went to Bluewater today to check out some dresses in Topshop. I tried on these...

Cream Bell Sleeve Lace Shift Dress, Tuck Shift Dress.

Both are really pretty on! The lace shift dress had caught my eye a couple of weeks back, and the lovely ladies on twitter also gave me some input so I ended up getting it once I tried it on!

Now I need shoes! I don't want to wear heels as I know I'll trip up on stage with them on, so I've opted for the safer option of flats.

Fellow blogger Winnie also told me I should have a brooch to fasten the sash on the front of the graduation gown. So I found this vintage one, it was my mum's :)
